In the history of fine arts, the name of Yuri Spiridonov, honorary worker of arts of Sakha (Yakutia), honorary citizen of Anabar ulus, full-fledged member of the Academy of the Northern Forum, honorary artist of the Russian Federation and people's artist of Sakha (Yakutia) is associated with the big theme of the Arctic, which he treats in a fresh, expressive way, with devotion of the heart and love for the land that has grown him. The master is consistent and integral in his quest for understanding and picturing its enchanting beauty. The artist follows the landmarks he has chosen with dignity and without haste and, on the way, he discovers unknown insofar paths, broadening "the force lines" of his work, and by opening new horizons of his own creativity, successfully includes the Yakut fine art in the cultural space of the whole Arctic.
