VI Interregional Research-to-Practice Conference Arctic Vector: Food Security
Session 5. New Agricultural Technologies and Biosafety
The conference will discuss the state of food security, food supply to the hard-to-reach and remote settlements of the Arctic zone, development of the agro-industrial complex and its role in improving the quality of human life in the Arctic, preservation of culture and tradi-tional economic activity, projects and new approaches in the public management of food security, an overview of the best foreign and domestic regional practices. It is planned to discuss the issues of regulatory legal support for food security of the hard-to-reach set-tlements in the conditions unfavorable for the development of agriculture, as well as the new support measures and projects within the Concept for the Development of Agricul-ture in the Arctic Zone of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) for the period up to 2035, aimed at increasing food self-sufficiency of the Arctic settlements, to develop proposals for improv-ing the current forms of state support for agriculture, traditional economic activity, and delivery of food products. The conference will convene the representatives of agriculture, healthcare, transport and other industries, state and municipal authorities, academia and business community.
