HUMAN CAPITAL IN THE AI ERA: DEMOGRAPHY • STRATEGIES • COMPETENCIES AND THE NEW REALITY OF LABOUR

Monitoring and Forecasting of Climatic Changes in the North-East of Russia

The roundtable is held to discuss climate change issues in recent decades. It is common knowledge that global warming began in the last quarter of the 20th century, but the ex-act reason has not yet been determined. We can only confidently say that the impact of human activity on this process is quite large. To determine the causes and predict further developments, it is necessary to conduct comprehensive monitoring not only of meteoro-logical indicators, but also of the processes of decreasing ice area both on land and in the oceans, melting of permafrost and significant flooding, the emergence of new negative landforms, rising sea levels, increased frequency of adverse meteorological phenomena, and much more. We shouldn’t forget that in the geographic envelope, all natural com-plexes and the processes occurring in them are closely interconnected and interdepend-ent, which often leads to self-amplification of feedback or the domino effect.
