Working Meeting Climate Change Impact on the Natural Ecosystems in the Arctic
Goal: discussing the problems and prospects of integrated research for assessing and making a science-based forecast of the present state of biodiversity of Yakutia’s vast territory under the global climate change and growing anthropogenic and technogenic pressure on the northern (Arctic) ecosystems.
It is planned to make brief presentations on the outcomes of the long-term research conducted in Yakutia’s cryolithozone in studying, preservation, sustainable use and reproduction of bioresources of the North (ecology, zoology, botany, edaphology, physiology and biochemistry of flora and fauna, biotechnology and processing of natural northern raw materials).
