The magazine also obtained the support from The Board of Governors of the Northern Forum in 2020.

The research policy concept of the leading higher educational center of Russia that specializes in the areas of the indigenous culture and arts of the Arctic – ASICA – will be presented.

Up to 2030th ASICA’s goal of research is to create a community of like-minded individuals to study the socio-cultural space of the North and the Arctic. As a result of the implementation of the 4 research activities, it is planned to increase the number of publications indexed in the international databases – Web of Science and Scopus – by 20 times. With that purpose, the magazine "Arctic Art & Culture" (published in two languages) is planned to be included in the list of scientific journals indexed in the international database Scopus (or Web of Science) simultaneously with the publication of articles in the journals "Sibirica", "Anthropology and Archeology of Eurasia", "Europe-Asia Studies", etc. In that regard, it is necessary to increase the number of teachers employed in such joint projects as:

- Virtual Museum "Arctic Civilization" and the Electronic Archive based on the collections on the folklore, arts and crafts of the peoples of the North. Which were collected by the teachers of the institute from the 60s of the twentieth century. Audio and video recordings of disappearing aspects of native culture. These recordings have become a technology for adaptation to the extreme conditions of the North, and they will be introduced into the scientific and cultural circulations of the world. Digitization of the cultural heritage will be supported by partnerships of the National Library of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Music Archive of Harvard University.

- Geocultural research and the brandings of the northern territories as a basis to build a strategy for their development, to introduce social and economic innovations that can transform the environment in certain locations. The Laboratory of Comprehensive Geocultural Research of the Arctic operating at ASICA was created in 2014 as part of project No. 14-38-00031 under a grant from the Russian Science Foundation. It was created in cooperation with the Institute for Humanitarian Research and Problems of Indigenous Peoples of the North (Yakutsk). It’s realization will get help from the Higher School of Urbanism based in the Higher School of Economics (Moscow), The Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), Univer of Turin (Italy).

- An interdisciplinary study of the history, development possibilities and strategies for the interaction of civilizations in the Arctic zone, based on interregional integration and Eurasian-American cooperation. - Foundation of the Laboratory to study human capital in the North to research various aspects of the formation, protection and its use. The partners of the Laboratory are the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, St. Petersburg State University.

Research activities are supposed to be integrated with the regional authorities of the Russian Arctic, the Northern Forum, foundations and centers of Arctic research. Upcoming tasks will be realized by involving partners to ASICA’s scientific researches, by allowing ASICA’s teachers to take internships in worldwide research centers about Arctic, by cooperating with certain industrial partners (such as LLC Almazy Anabara, OJSC ALROSA and LLC Surgutneftegaz).
