Strategic Session “Distributed Generation for the Remote and Isolated Territories of the Far East and the Arctic”
One of the strategic tasks of the Russian Federation in the energy sector is the development of distributed generation in remote and isolated areas. The corre-sponding direction is noted in all sectoral and macro-regional strategic planning documents, including the Energy Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation, the Energy Strategy of Russia for the period up to 2035, the strategy for the socio-economic development of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The implementation of this direction involves the re-placement of the existing inefficient diesel (oil, coal) generation based on the in-troduction of modern energy technologies, including renewable energy sources, as well as the provision of local energy supply for new investment projects far from the centralized energy infrastructure.
In the focus of the discussion:
Energy as the basis for sustainable development of the Arctic.
Distributed generation for the needs of remote and isolated territories
Energy projects for the needs of the Arctic: technological, design and engineering solutions
Energy supply of new investment projects away from centralized energy infrastructure
Аutonomous energy complexes, small nuclear power, renewable energy po-tential in the Arctic: Russian developments
Smart and digital technologies for accounting and distribution of electric and thermal energy, improving energy efficiency
