2022 has been declared the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. Yakutia is the largest region of the Russian Federation, distinguished by its distinctive cultural heritage, which is reflected in the works of modern creators.

The population of the Sakha Republic is characterized by originality in worldview and lifestyle, high mobility, the art of energy conservation, susceptibility to technical and technological innovations. Many technologies and technological processes in the modern cultures of the indigenous peoples of the region are perceived as bygone traditions, at the same time they demonstrate the depth of knowledge associated with the development of vast territories and the skills of autonomous existence in conditions of limited resources.

Traditional folk art, beliefs, folklore and languages of the Yakut peoples have received a new momentum of development in the XXI century. Literature, music, cinema, theater and fine arts of Yakutia are recognized both within the country and abroad. The synthesis of national culture and modern trends forms a unique historical and cultural code of the Sakha Republic.
