On September 23, a ‘MISSION OF A NATIONAL INSTITUTE IN THE 21st CENTURY’ Scientific Forum, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Institute, started at the Institute for Humanities Research and Indigenous Studies of the North (IHRISN), part of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Events within the framework of the Forum will be held online from 23 to 25 September.
The conference will be attended by leading scientists: ethnographers, linguists, folklorists, literary scholars, archaeologists, historians, philosophers, sociologists and economists from scientific centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ulan-Ude, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, and Yakutsk. Over 130 reports in various domains of humanities will be presented at six online platforms
‘Ethno-cultural heritage as a symbolic capital of the territory: traditions, imaginary archaism, current trends’ Round Table will be attended by researchers from the IHRISN SB RAS, North Eastern Federal University (NEFU), Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts (AGIKI), representatives of the ‘Archi House’ Spiritual Culture Center, the Union of Cinematographers of Yakutia, the Union of Architects of Yakutia, and others creative clusters.
Discussion platform for young scientists of the Institute is aimed at discussing promising strategic avenues for activities of humanities-scholars, which allow expanding the horizons of humanities using latest technologies.
Вниманию широкой общественной аудитории будут представлены: – выставка архивных документов «Институт языка и культуры при СНК ЯАССР в 1935-1941 гг.: неизвестные страницы», где можно узнать о первых достижениях и скрытых исторических моментах становления гуманитарной науки в советское время в Якутии; – юбилейный номер научного журнала «Северо-Восточный гуманитарный вестник», на страницах которого раскрываются любопытные сюжеты интеллектуальной истории Института; – биобиблиографический справочник «Ученые – исследователи Института гуманитарных исследований и проблем малочисленных народов Севера Сибирского отделения Российской академии наук», включающий сведения обо всех ученых, трудившихся в стенах Института со дня его создания, и основную библиографию их научных трудов. Ознакомиться с этими проектами можно на сайте института, официальная презентациях работ запланирована на торжественном открытии и закрытии Научного форума «МИССИЯ НАЦИОНАЛЬНОГО ИНСТИТУТА В XXI ВЕКЕ».
As part of the Scientific Forum, the ‘PEOPLES AND CULTURES OF NORTH ASIA IN THE CONTEXT OF SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE OF G.M. VASILEVICH’ All-Russian Scientific Workshop will be held dedicated to significant dates in the history of science in Yakutia: the 125th anniversary of an outstanding Soviet scientist, founder of Russian Tungus studies Glafira VASILEVICH, the 95th anniversary of the National Library of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), and the 85th anniversary of the Institute for Humanities Research and Indigenous Studies of the North.
