The Youth Startup Forum is going to be held on September 29 2021 as part of the Northern Sustainable Development Forum. The aim is to rethink innovations in the Arctic and the North.
The organizers of the event are the Youth Northern Forum and the Foundation for Innovation of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The partner of the event is the International Community of Technological Entrepreneurs “Go Global World”.
The Startup Forum consists of the Discussion Session «Startups and Technologies for the North and the Arctic», Workshops of Startups and Pitch Session “Impact Startups”.
At the Discussion Session «Startups and Technologies for the North and the Arctic» representatives of state, business and science from different countries will discuss problems and opportunities related to technological development of the North and Arctic. The Pitch Session “Impact Startups” is taking place online. Experts will see startups that can make a difference in people’s lives, especially in the North. On the basis of the event’s outcome, the projects may be recommended by the organizers for support through international organizations such as the Nordic Forum and the Arctic Council. We invite you to the Youth Programme of the Northern Sustainable Development Forum The Northern Forum Sustainable Development is hosting the 2nd Northern Youth Forum (NYF) on 27-30 September 2021.
The Programme of the Forum consists of nearly two dozen events planned in a blended format.
The events are divided into 3 tracks:
- Challenges of Climate Change
- Human Capital
- Youth Startup Forum
The Section "Climate Change Challenges" includes a session on eco-lobbying and a series of videos on climate change from a scientific point of view. In addition, social media activities are planned.
The " Human Capital" Block covers young people in different categories: from schoolchildren and students to young professionals and experts in different fields. Special attention in this block will be paid to the scientific activities of young people.
Significantly, in the Year of Technology Science, a Youth Startup Forum will be held to redefine innovation in the Arctic and the North. The Youth Startup Forum will be the start of a Russian initiative to explore the innovative Arctic and develop startup ecosystems in the North and the Arctic.
